About the program
Urban Futures (UF) is a global program connecting urban food systems, youth wellbeing, and climate action. Managed by Hivos with Yayasan Humanis dan Inovasi Sosial (Humanis), local partners, and experts, UF operates in ten cities across five countries: Colombia, Ecuador, Indonesia, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.
In Indonesia, Pamflet leads one of UF's seven consortia: Simpul Muda untuk Pangan Berkelanjutan (Simpul Pangan). It supports young people in Bandung and West Manggarai to collaborate and voice their needs for sustainable food systems.
Working with Rombak Media, Simpul Pangan supports young people in learning, reflecting, telling stories, and taking action toward better urban food systems. Pamflet also facilitates linking and learning with food networks and promotes locally grounded solutions.
