Our friends are criminalized, young precarious workers are killed, young environmental activists disappear, children’s food is poisoned, forests are burned, water and air are polluted, gathering and speaking out, or even simply being present and living, are persecuted. That is the reality we have faced over the past two years.
Amid crisis and fear, we have witnessed that young people are among the central actors who catalyze and sustain the movement, while also caring for the people within it.
The capacity of the youth movement to be resilient, to organize itself, and to push back against oppressive systems continues to be tested. The experience and knowledge of civil society movements built in earlier times alone will not be enough to drive social change amid today’s political dynamics and technological developments.

Through this 2024–2026 report, we archive our journey in exploring strategies to build a youth movement ecosystem relevant to today’s resistance. Compiling this report is like reopening the pages of the past two years. Within it are stories of small steps that grew into change, processes that were not always easy, and people who chose to keep moving together.
This report is not intended merely as a celebration of success, although we acknowledge that celebration remains important for keeping our sanity in activism. We hope this document can serve as a space for collective learning, to build movement nodes that encourage meaningful youth participation until everyone can enjoy their human rights.
History never records struggle as a solo performance, and neither does the movement we build today. To all communities and collectives of young people of diverse identities, movements and civil society networks, donors, and partner organizations: thank you for your comrades’ courage in struggling together and for placing your trust in young people.
Challenges ahead will not become any easier. In times that make us tremble, we will continue to bring forth intention and work to create an inclusive and intersectional movement ecosystem. We believe radical resistance can begin from our openness to keep learning to care for ourselves, care for our friends, and care for the collective knowledge we build together.
In solidarity,
The more we are pressed, the more we resist!
