From and for young people

Pamflet Generasi is a community-based civil society organization in Indonesia, led by young people, for young people. We envision a world where young people can enjoy their human rights.

Pamflet was founded in 2013, when few Indonesian communities or civil society organizations critically addressed young people's position in social movements. For thirteen years, Pamflet has worked at the intersection of youth activism, social movements, and knowledge production, building a space where young people's knowledge is recognized, nurtured, and used as the basis for change.

Pamflet has supported more than 15,000 young people in 26 cities, from urban spaces, forests, and campuses to digital spaces. We believe lasting social transformation must be led and lived by the generation that experiences it directly.

Encourage young people to think critically, take initiative, and participate in social change and development grounded in justice and equality. Support youth movements through knowledge management, training, and connections between the state, civil society, and businesses.

We recognise that every individual and community carries different layers of vulnerability, shaped by race, ethnicity, gender, sexuality, belief, ability, and class.

We open up and guarantee access to resources and opportunities for marginalised individuals and communities.

We side with the views and experiences of young people, and create opportunities for them as active agents who can drive social change.
